The Unreal engine is based on DirectX7, but incorporates DirectX8 components as well. We set up our demos at the maximum detail settings possible to push the GPUs to their limits.

It is interesting to note that even with the slower core speed, the two systems performed as well as or better than the Sager system. This could be influenced by the 600MHz advantage of the CPU in these models compared to that of the Sager system.

Notice that once anti-aliasing was set to two times sampling, the Sager again outperformed our two test candidates.


The test systems outperform the Mobility Radeon 9800s, but don't come close to the other Go 6800, falling shy by more than 10 frames per second. Compared to each other, they have been consistent thus far despite the older NVIDIA driver on the Hypersonic system.
