On the right side, the optical drive, the PS/2 connector, the modem port, and the S-video connector can be found.

Finally, the back of the notebook sports the external VGA connector and the parallel printer port, as well as two USB 2.0 ports.

Removable covers on the bottom of the notebook make drive and memory upgrades especially easy.

Both the CPU and the GPU are protected against overheating by their own large heatsinks with fans. Since the Mobility Radeon works at frequencies of 300 MHz and above, this new, more intricate cooling design has become a necessity.

Wasteful memory upgrades - both slots are occupied.
Since both slots are already occupied (2x 256 MB PC2700-DDR), a memory upgrade to 1 GB of RAM is a costly proposition.
