Apple's Boot Camp Adds Support For XP SP3
Cupertino (CA) - Apple has updated its "Boot Camp" software, which allows users to run Windows operating systems on Intel-based Mac computers, to version 2.1.1
The main change to the software upgrade is support for Windows XP Service Pack 3, a new release for the Microsoft OS that just came out for the first group of PC owners this week.
Boot Camp, co-developed by Apple and VMWare, partitions the Mac computer hard drive to have two separate operating systems that users can switch back and forth - one for Leopard or Mac OS X and one for Windows XP or Vista.
Additionally, the update "addresses issues and improves compatibility," according to the latest Boot Camp release notes.
SP3 includes "all previously released Windows XP updates, including security updates and hotfixes, and select out-of-band releases."
Users can download the update for free from the VMware website.

Your VMWare link goes to VMWare Fusion website. It's a good product but it is definitely not the same as BootCamp.
