Microsoft Leaks Zune HD 64GB Model
Looks as though the Zune HD 64 GB version is no longer just a rumor.
Looks as though Microsoft is getting ready to reveal a 64GB version of its Zune HD portable device. Engadget discovered the "label" over on the official Zune HD website, and at the time of this writing, the 64GB version is still listeed under the 16GB and 32GB versions. However, click on the link, and you'll pull up a "Page Not Found" error.
Unfortunately, there's nothing else to report. The previous two versions launched in September 2009, and uses Nvidia's Tegra APX 2600, making it possible for 720p video on an HDTV via a dedicated HD core (the device's OLED screen only provides a 480 x 272 native resolution). As we've reported in the past, the Tegra chip also features a dedicated graphics core for enhanced gaming, an audio core, and two ARM cores: ARM7 and ARM11. The multimedia chip contains eight processors in all.
Back in February 2010, Microsoft reduced the prices of both Zune HD models by $20, bringing the 32GB version down to $270 and the 16GB model down to $200. It's speculated that the price decrease was related in some way to the eventual release of the 64GB model.
As it stands, there's no set release date for the Zune HD 64GB, however an announcement is expected shortly.

Too bad I already bought one. I might have to upgrade now. =[
And i'm still waiting for the Zune HD 32GB to hit amazon/ebuyer or anywhere.

I hear ya...but who wants to buy a used Zune that has my name and phone number engraved on the back
64GB is nice, but a proper 7-band EQ and bluetooth would go the extra mile. I wanna stream my tunes in the car...
Well, as soon as MS listens to people, and adds support for FLAC and a quality 10 band EQ, I'm getting one :-)
But I guess they they won't, so I'll get the next Samsung, who supports those formats and has a nice EQ settings.
How about leaking it over seas then. I would buy one in a heartbeat if it was available in Australia with native support here :-(
Awesome, I will probably never fill 64 gigs myself, but that can definitely make me buy the 32 gig version if the price drops. Still strutting my 30g gen 1 zune, time for an upgrade

Zune HD has received a lot of positive reviews since its release.
I am just wondering how much if these positive reviews and feedback actually translate into sales.
Does anybody know how many Zune HD were sold since last Sept and what's its current market share in total mp3 players and amount Zune family?
How about trying the new Cowon J3, which is going to be released soon?
I just hope that people jump on these like they did the Ipod touches/Ipads. I was talking to a friend about it the other day and we came to the conclusion that the accesories and apps available for the apple line is part of what keeps customers so loyal.
I am glad to see Microsoft still competeing in the mp3 handheld player market and I think sites like www.zunehd64gb.com will help create that fan base apple has, they are already offering some of the best accessories available for zunes, Also rumor has it when apps become availble they will debut on that site. Only time will tell, as for now I am excited.
Best pmp that no one owns
