Sony Announces 160GB PS3/Black Ops Bundle

- By - Source : Gamasutra

Sony has announced a new PlayStation 3 bundle for Call of Duty: Black Ops fans.

Call of Duty: Black Ops (or COD:BLOPS, if you prefer) has been out for nearly eight months now. However, if you haven’t bought it yet, feel like investing in a second copy, or are in the mood for a 160GB PS3, Sony’s just announced bundle might tickle your fancy.

Sony’s COD: Black Ops bundle will feature Call of Duty: Black Ops, the Black Ops First Strike Content Pack, and a PS3 with a 160GB hard drive. Set for release on May 31 (that’s next Thursday), it’s a limited time only bundle priced at $299.99.

Considering the 160GB PS3 is $299 by itself, you’re essentially getting the game and content pack for free (for those interested, they’d cost about $75 to purchase separate from the bundle), so it’s definitely not a bad deal.

Yes you can! For free even. Unlike with the 360 which requires a gold membership.

Id rather pay for a premium service that protects my identity better and has uptime. Microsoft pretty much has to guarantee it's services to work since I pay for it. Sony on the other hand not so much.

Maybe Sony is trying to improve both its market share and image at the same time, or they are simply clearing some old inventory.

2 errors in this article. Black Ops has been out for almost 7 months, not 8 and the 31st is next Tuesday, not Thursday. Sorry for the nitpick but it's annoying.

PS3 version of this game is still laggy after being out for month's.

It would be more tempting if it was bundled with DNF.

Maybe this bundle should've been out a while ago, you know.

And also, it is laggy.
