Airport Worker Warned for Abusing Naked Scanner
A man who allegedly misused the new airport body scanners at Heathrow Airport has been issued with a warning from Scotland Yard.
A 25-year-old man working in Heathrow Terminal 5 has been issued with a warning after he took a photo of female colleague Jo Margetson as she walked through the scanner. Named by the Sun newspaper as John Laker, the security guard is said to have taken the photo after Margetson had entered the machine by mistake. Margetson claims Laker then remarked, "I love those gigantic t**s."
Ms. Margetson said she is distraught by the incident. "I'm totally traumatised. I've spoken to the police about it. I'm in too much of a state to go to work."
The Guardian newspaper cites a Scotland Yard spokesperson as saying:
"Police received an allegation regarding an incident that happened at Heathrow Terminal 5 on March 10. A first-instance harassment warning has been issued to a 25-year-old male."
The BAA told the Sun:
We are aware an allegation has been made against a member of staff and we are currently investigating. We treat any allegations of inappropriate behaviour or misuse of security equipment very seriously."
The incident will more than likely be referred to by privacy advocates who believe the scanners are a breach of privacy. Images of travelers are not stored in the system but many feel the images produced are too intrusive and are uncomfortable with strangers looking at x-rays that clearly outline the genitals.

This reminded me of the Chapelle Show skit, "What Men Want" in which the attractive woman can hear the thoughts of the men around here. If you haven't seen it the woman hears all the sordid things the men think about her. In this case the female employee got a small taste of what goes through a man's mind. (Yes, it was extremely inappropriate for the guy to say that.) If women could hear a man's thoughts they would never leave their house again.

Scanner or not I would think this incident deserves much stricter punishment. However I do find it entertaining that she's so offended.
I wish to purchase one of these scanners in goggle form, please.

Whats a male doing scanning females? In all the airports, the women walk into a separate room where they are scanned by females, in the presence of a couple of female constables......
