Viacom’s $1 billion copyright infringement lawsuit against YouTube and its parent company, Google, threatens the way that hundreds of millions of people legitimately exchange various kinds of content via the Internet, Google contended in an answer to an amended version of the complaint filed by Viacom last month.

who can/will stop these media monsters from sueing anyone/everyone? all this only serves to disrupt the growth and evolution of the internet. i hope Google sticks it to these guys, and anyone else who messes with them. i would compare the media industry to the slave traders of the south, unwilling to change or let freedom ring, just to maximize their already absurd profit margins.
