VIDEO: Hands On With Google's Nexus One
It's all about the Nexus One and with a Google event planned for January 5, who could blame a girl for getting a little excited? Could this be the Android device to take on Apple and its gaggle of 'there's-an-app-for-that' devotees? Apparently not.
In case you hadn't noticed, it isn't the fifth so there are no official videos or details for you just yet. However, Engadget has managed to get their hands on a device early and are in the process of reviewing it. According to Josh Topolsky, the Nexus One isn't too different to the DROID. The design and overall feel is better but and it's certainly faster, but it's nothing mind blowing.
Check out their sneak peek below, which quite nicely shows off the UI along with some of the live wallpapers Google has goin' on.
For those of you who need a refresh, the device runs Android 2.1 and packs a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 3.7-inch, 480 x 800 display, 512MB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, a 4GB microSD card (expandable to 32GB), a 5mp camera with LED flash and is a little slimmer than the iPhone. All this runs on T-Mobile's network.

"according to Josh..."
I can't see the video, so I wouldn't knock it down yet.
The specs - as sparse as they are - sound better than the iPhone . I have a Hero, so I know what Android is capable of, way better than the iPhone OS.
We'll see what happens when it comes out.
The NexusOne has that sleek stylish look to it that Apple fans have been proclaiming their products to be superior for. This thing looks like it's got some horsepower behind it too. Too bad it will be stuck on T-Mobile. None the less, with phones like the NexusOne and Droid available sporting better hardware, on better networks, with a far superior OS, there is really no reason for anyone to buy an iPhone anymore.
As long as there are idiots Abrahm, there will be iPhone sales
I'm going to buy one.
and i just bought a G1...
