Record Player Rips MP3s From Vinyl

It plays vinyl, radio, digital media, and is—of course—an iPod dock.

If you're stuck with a large vinyl collection and suffer from a lack of space, the Crosley Echo might be for you. Record owners who want to digitize their works can use the Echo to rip audio from 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM LPs (7", 10", and 12" sizes supported). Ripped audio goes straight to an SD memory card or even a Windows PC connected via USB.

Crosley's creation also features "dynamic full range stereo speakers", digital media playback, and an AM/FM radio. iPod and iPhone owners can also plug in through the Universal dock. Best of all, the whole package is portable. Everything's contained within a vinyl-wrapped (how appropriate) briefcase with chrome locks and metal handle.

The Echo is available for pre-order from Crosley's website, in tan and red variants, for $180. The actual market release is "coming soon".
