Apple Gives Canadian, European iTunes Users Free Stuff
Apple is offering European and Canadian iTunes customers free content as part of its '12 Days of Christmas' offer.
With Christmas well and truly over, many people are back in work already and looking for ways to wile away the days until they can check out for new year's celebrations. If you count yourself among this group of people and are in Canada, the Netherlands, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, or Spain, Apple is giving away free songs, apps and videos to celebrate the 12 days of Christmas.
AppleInsider reports that the '12 Days of Christmas' application is now available for download and will offer something for free each day between December 26 and January 6. Each freebie will be available for download for 24 hours. After this period, the offer will expire and a new one will become available. Cupertino kicked things off with a free copy of Coldplay's live EP from the iTunes Festival in London.
The idea is supposed to turn new iOS device owners onto iTunes by offering them a range of content for free. It's for this reason, we assume, that the app is only compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, the third and fourth generation iPod touch, and iPad, and requires iOS 4.3 or later. Similar to the UK-only '12 Days of Kindle' from Amazon, there's no word on a similar offer for iPod, iPad and iPhone users in the U.S.

just give everything for free...world would be a better place
What is up with this regional bullshit in digital distribution? You would think that in 2011 they would forget about the lines of Europe, Canada, USA etc. especially with digital content. This makes no sense to me.

Except laws are different in each country.
I have a feeling that if they did this in the US a lot of record executives and others would start yelling and complaining.
apple y u no give me free shit?
imma canadian but I live in the us.
Apple is promoting its markets where they are weak in an attempt to gain market shares lost to Android ect like any other company would and by not doing it in usa it just points that their confident they have enough US sheeps err i mean customers in their pens already.
Umm yay... today you can get some crappy TV pilots, or some crappy French songs.

Yesterday, in Spain, I got Broken Sword 2 ;-)
Looks like the offer is different in each country.
Reminds me of the "12 CDs for a penny" deal where they than tried to sell you on the subscription plan.
Well, for once Apple has done nothing 'bad' here. Just some legit advertising gimick.
But I still will not get an iPhone :
