The iPhone 7 will most certainly come in an array of colors, but Apple may be moving beyond the typical silver, gold, space gray and rose gold. Based on images obtained by Phone Arena, a deep blue option could be on the way.
Too bad it doesn't look very exciting.
Phone Arena calls the deep blue color subdued, and it would certainly play well in the conference room, but it's not striking. The Galaxy Note 7's coral blue color option is bolder and more playful, and the color shifts based on how you hold the device.
It's possible this is just a mockup or prototype that won't see the light of day. But if it's the real deal, the deep blue iPhone looks and feels more executive chic than millennial chic. The good news is that we've also seen an iPhone 7 prototype in brighter blue, complete with video.
The image also shows a dual-lens camera on the back, which is one of the reported features that will differentiate the iPhone 7 Plus from the iPhone 7. What's missing? A Smart Connector, which has been spotted in other leaked images and would presumably allow users to connect various accessories.
Other expected features for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus include a touch-sensitive home button, faster A10 processor, and water-resistant design that will likely shed the traditional headphone jack.
