I was inspired by an X (Twitter) post by The New York Times senior staff writer Brooklyn White-Grier, which stated that you could watch one of Denzel's 52 movies every week of 2026 without needing to repeat a movie. So, I'm taking on the challenge. Bookmark this page to see each week's installment.
Latest about Denzel Watchathon
"2 Guns" is a fun action movie with great chemistry between Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg. Best of all, it's streaming for free right now.
"Flight" was Denzel Washington's first Oscar nomination in 11 years after "Training Day." He's definitely award-worthy in this must-watch drama.
"Safe House" was a 2012 action thriller starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds that should have been a hit. But after streaming it on Netflix 14 years later, I still have questions.
"Unstoppable" is the perfect action thriller to sit down and enjoy a bucket of popcorn with as you watch. We need more movies like it in 2026.
"The Book of Eli" is a flawed neo-Western. But on occasion, it lives up to its potential, largely thanks to a pair of performances that make it worth a rewatch 16 years later.
"The Taking of Pelham 123" stars Denzel Washington and John Travolta in an action thriller remake that underutilizes them both.
"The Great Debaters" is a good historical drama with a great Denzel Washington performance. It's a must-watch if you've never seen it before.
"American Gangster" isn't perfect, but Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe's crime drama is still great 19 years later. Here's how you can stream it for free right now.
