The holiday season is right around the corner and retailers are kicking things off with Black Friday worthy deals you can get right now. One of the best early sales I've seen this week comes from T-Mobile.
Right now, T-Mobile is offering the iPhone 17 for free when you trade in any eligible device and sign up for a new line on T-Mobile's Experience Beyond plan. That's one of the best iPhone 17 deals I've seen. Yes, there are some requirements, but I'll break them all down below.
T-Mobile is offering various ways to get this iPhone for free. You can get it free with trade-in on an eligible 5G data plan or you can get it free with no trade-in, but you'll need to port your number from a competing carrier.
As for the phone itself, we called the Editor's Choice iPhone 17 the iPhone most users should get. For starters, it got the most upgrades. The base iPhone now comes with a larger, 120Hz display, faster 30W wired charging speeds, brighter screen, double the storage, and a slick selfie camera. Even better, it's the same price as its predecessor. (By comparison, the base iPhone 17 Pro costs $100 more than the base iPhone 16 Pro).
In our battery testing, the iPhone 17 also reached 12 hours and 47 minutes, an improvement of 34 minutes over the iPhone 16. Although the Pro models offer more battery life, the iPhone 17 is no slouch and you could argue it's a better value. Especially when it's free.
