MacBook Neo is here at $599 and the internet is divided: What's your opinion?

Apple started its day by announcing the MacBook Neo, a $599 laptop with an A18 Pro processor under the hood. Sure, it's not as powerful as the MacBooks currently dominating the best laptop list, but from a budget-friendly standpoint, Apple is putting cheap Windows laptops and Chromebooks on notice.

Designed to welcome new people into the macOS ecosystem, the new MacBook hits a much friendlier price point. Previously, you would have had to get a used or refurbished MacBook or catch an absurd sale on a previous model.

For anyone who's a little more camera-shy, you can take your foot off the gas and stop with the poll — your votes are anonymous.

But for those who would like to be considered for a Tom's Guide article, we want to hear why you would or would not want a MacBook Neo.

While a lot of the comments around the internet seem focused on the positives of Apple offering a $599 laptop, there are plenty of people complaining about it.

Starting over on Reddit, things seem to be quite positive in the Apple community, with die-hard Apple fans acknowledging that while the laptop isn't for them, it's great to see Apple offering a more budget friendly option for students and budget laptop shoppers.
