5. A Tour Around The AS9504MSMi
The back of the Acer is busy with ports and connectors, including power, VGA, S-Video out, parallel, DVI-D, RF in, AV in (for both audio and video), Ethernet, modem, USB 2.0 and a Kensington lock slot.
The right side offers up a PC Card slot, a 5-in-1 card reader, an infrared port (not for an MCE remote), Firewire port and two more USB 2.0 ports.
On the left you'll find a PCI ExpressCard slot on the bottom, and above that another USB 2.0 port, a combination speaker/line-out/headphone/SPDIF jack, a line-in audio jack, and a microphone jack. Next to these items is a slot load optical drive, with eject button and activity LED.
Numerous control buttons and indicator lights appear on the front of the unit, including speakers at far right and left, wireless and Bluetooth communication indicators, power and battery indicators, and a set of media control buttons.
