Users who might be interested in upgrading their notebooks can learn the following from our experiences: Those who conceive the notion to endow their notebooks with faster, better-performing CPUs should consult with the maker in every such case. Just as we couldn't get the cooling system to keep our overclocked system running at full speed over an extended period, because power consumption of a new CPU is likely to be higher than that of the CPU it replaces by design, you must ponder the likelihood that a CPU intended to upgrade system performance may actually result in an effective performance downgrade!
