Tecmo Recreates Super Bowl XLIV in SNES Style
The glory days before mo-cap and polys.
Forget all your fancy polygons of your Madden NFL 10 for your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, old school gamers will still see all football plays in classic 2D sprites.
See here in this updated (read: modded, hacked) Tecmo Super Bowl SNES ROM is a re-creation of Tracy Porter's interception from Super Bowl XLIV.

lol; gotta love those old school
This is awesome. The first Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES was, simply put, one of the best games for that particular system. In my eyes it ranks right up there with Mario and Megaman.
I can reminisce upon the days when I played my brother, mashing the d-pad every direction making good ol' Bo Jackson juke the defenders and take it to the endzone. Oh so epic.
Those were the days...
Can you recreate my job (and might as well, my life) in SNES style?
SNES was the best system made (well the games for it are what made it the best but I digress...) Some hardware seems to have its own soul though.
I really prefer this game and Madden '94 on SNES to any of them since. What great games.
there should be Snes Bowls
screw madden
awesome concept but they could of done a better job at getting the player positions/actions correct..
That was entertaining. =)
much more entertaining than watching 90% of the real game....half-time show was a snoozer. we need a new tecmo superbowl game!
That was good. :-)
Cool idea, but as a Colts fan I got mixed feelings about that particular clip

That was about as perfect as you could get it. Even included the block in the back the ref's missed.
If you dig that, you should definitely check this out:
