Wait, would it not make more sense to have pink = suspected, purple = confirmed and then purple without a dot for death?

But what do I know, I'm swine flu free, I shouldn't be nitpigging.

I think its overrated and will blow over soon enough. Remember swine influenza isn't anything new and I'm sure it hasn't evolved to the point of being a large threat.

You should work on your own engRish before criticizing others.

Fingers crossed, eh?

There's something odd about being able to zoom down to street level for things like this

It was fore-mentioned by God and nobody heeded the warnings. Let's pray that God does something asap.

The panic is stupid because They've already got the cure.

Thankfully my health insurance kicks butt so my son and I are safe.

This is dumb. It will spread to every state and country in a matter of weeks. Why are you panicking over something we already have a cure for anyway? The most important aspect of this is how this virus was engineered and where it began.

And would the pointless people with the "me" first mentality screaming out "Nothing near me yet" STFU! What difference would it make anyway. We have an effective drug. Even if it was near you, you would only feel like you had the typical flu.

The important information is the Who, What, When, Where, Why, not the me me me omg heres a map, why doesn't it show death idiots spouting off.

We don't give a damn about normal cold and flu viruses, but the minute it gets a name from some agency people are panicking in the streets. They should just schedule one of these "outbreaks" once a year to boost the pharmaceutical stocks.

How can they have a cure for swine flu, but human flu has evaded medicine forever? :-\

@tenor77 "The panic is stupid because They've already got the cure.

You have no idea what you are talking about. There are no "cures" for the flu which is a virus... There are no cures for a virus of any kind, even the common cold.. There are vaccines, but not cures.
The flu evolves anyway, which is why there is no exact cure, you just keep getting flu shots.

Idiots. This is by all accounts a brand new, never seen before mutant strain of bird, pig and human flu VIRUSES. Do you really want to believe that a "cure" is so readily available for something that is supposedly new to this world?
If you believe that they already have a “vaccine” then you have to be ready to admit that it was manufactured somewhere. Who created this mutant strain and how did it all the sudden show up all over the world at the same time in obscure locations that have nothing to do with “ground zero” in mexico?

I'm not really worried about this. The symptoms are mild. My immune system has been able to handle everything else thrown at it so far.
