Players from the solar industry in Taiwan have been shocked by recent spot pricing trends for 6" solar wafers, as prices did not weaken as expected. The average selling price (ASP) for a 6" wafer exceeded $11 recently, up further from $10-10.50 as recorded in early second quarter, noted industry players.
