Solar-Powered Desk Toy Transforms Into 6 Things

- By - Source : Tom's Guide US

Desk toys (or executive toys as they’re sometimes potentially referred to) are the perfect example of simplicity: It doesn’t need to have 15 bells and 14 whistles to be cool - and usually I’m all for that.

That said, this transformer/miniature fan we spotted on Giz looks a little more complicated than your average desk toy. The solar-powered toy transforms into six different states, all of them providing you with a cool breeze to keep you from getting all hot under the white-collar.

I think my favorite is the boat and if you're into flat-pack DIY furniture then this is right up your alley. You can pick one up at Red5 by clicking here.

Am I the only one that saw that last picture and thought it looked like it was putting up some kind of force field or focusing crystal to harness a laser beam? I need a desktop toy that I can use to fry my co-workers.

so it uses solar power to activate the fan?
Or where does it store/send the elctricity to?

It would indeed be nice to have either a low rotating fan, or a desktop light. Perhaps even an internal battery it stores the energy to
