Cupertino (CA) - Segway’s Chief Technology Officer, Doug Field, will be heading over to Apple as the company’s new Vice President of product design. Field had managed Segway’s entire engineering team since day 1. Interestingly enough, Field’s new boss, Steve Jobs, wasn’t a big fan of the Segway when it was launched. In fact, back in 2003 when the Segway was still known as "Ginger", Jobs famously said, "I think it sucks!"
