Sony Ericsson Aino Streams Media From PS3
Remote Play with your PS3 with the SE Aino.
We may not be getting the PSP phone (at least not yet) but Sony Ericsson has just announced the closest thing so far.
The Sony Ericsson Aino will work with Remote Play with the PlayStation 3, which means that it’ll stream media over the internet from the console to the phone (in the same way the PSP does). Any videos or music stored on the PS3 will be accessible on the phone, given a stable internet connection. At this point it’s unknown if it’s limited to just Wi-Fi or if it’ll also work over 3G.
Sony also runs a Play TV service in Italy, France, Spain, Germany and the UK, so Aino users will be able to watch, pause and record live TV from a huge range of free channels.
Otherwise, the Aino looks like another solid handset from SE, with a 3-inch screen, 8.1 megapixel camera, quad-band GSM, tri-band UMTS/HSPA. Look for it in the fourth quarter.
