Zippers And Hook & Loop Fasteners
4. Zippers And Hook & Loop Fasteners
The PIPs are a series of pockets within pockets (as the name suggests). That is, they are smaller pockets that can be unzipped or hook & loop fasteners to make larger pockets if your carrying needs change. What's great about this is that your gadgets can be held more securely in pockets that better match their size. Think of it as being able to carry your cell phone in a small zippered pouch rather than a big empty duffle bag where it would bounce around unsecured. But should you have need for the storage capacity of a duffel bag... zip.. and you've got it.

Pockets that zip shut ensure nothing important will bounce out if you need to start running.
In addition to being able to change the size of some pockets, nearly every pocket can be zipped closed. This is a very important feature for the rare individual that combines activity with a love of technology. In a former life I did some work as a bodyguard, and was concerned that the important items I kept in my jacket would bounce out if I were ever forced into sudden strenuous activity. My own solution was a jury-rigged mess of hook & loop fasteners tape that I bought from the hardware store. Thank goodness I never did have any occasions of strenuous activity, nor any reason to have to wear my jacket inside out - the job I did looked quite unprofessional on the inside!
To make the ScotteVest even better, there are other great features. These include epaulets on which you can hook things, holes for a camelback system, a flip-out badge carrier, ear bud holders, a place for glasses cleaner, pen holders, and the list goes on.

The number of little extras is amazing!
