4. Samsungs YH-999's Pocket PMC

As soon as you take it out of the box, Samsung's PMC impresses you with its sleek lines and small footprint. Almost square and very thin, it weighs only 240 grams and measures a tiny 95 x 105 x 20 mm. Yet its hard disk has a 20 GB capacity. This is in fact the first truly portable audio/video player. And as an extremely clever final touch, a little stand on the back folds out to let you put the YH on your desk like a picture frame. The number of buttons is limited, and using the player is quite intuitive thanks to the Media Center interface. It does take a little time to get used to the maneuver for returning to the menu.
