In addition to the MPEG4 Movie Converter, the PV1 comes with a number of digital frames (for applying to your pictures in a 2D graphics editor) and a confusing, but charming little program called the 3d-Album PicturePro (LE). It has one of the worst interfaces I have ever seen, but is loads of fun. Load up your pictures and you can see them displayed in all sorts of fascinating ways across 3D objects and environments. Here is one of my works in progress:

Sounds Good
The thing that surprised me most about the PV1 was the sound clarity. It isn't going to be something you'll want to plug into your home theater system to show off your speakers, but the sound is very good considering Pacific Digital's decision to be so cost conscious. At the maximum setting of 10, the volume is decent for listening to in a normal sized room, and still maintains good clarity. I am certainly not going to run a unit like this through extensive audio tests, when their objective was focused on affordability over symphony quality sound. But what they have achieved is very good audio that exceeds the expectations set by the price tag.

The attached USB MP3 player allows me to listen to my songs through the frame while I watch a slideshow of some of my crazier pictures for THG.
