If Only the Graphics of Halo Could Look This Good
Halo done LARPing style.
With another Halo game coming out, you can bet that the Microsoft marketing machine is in full force. One of the projects is a live-action short titled "Deliver Hope".
Microsoft and Bungie have rounded up quite the talent to make this short:
- Director Noam Murro (“Smart People”), who also directed the “Halo: Reach” “Birth of a Spartan” short and a collection of live-action vignettes housed at RememberReach.com.
- Edited by Angus Wall (“The Social Network”)
- Original musical score written and produced by Human, with Brian Emerich (“The Wrestler”) as sound designer.
- Filmed on location in Prague.
- Other support include agency Agency 215, Legacy Effects (props) and Method Studios (visual effects).
An extended version of “Deliver Hope” will debut exclusively on YouTube the week of September 6.

Halo Reach was a good book and I hope the campaign lives up to it, regardless of whether the multiplayer section kicks butt or not.
I cannot wait!!
Reach is gonna be kinda sad since bungie is jumping ship after it D: its gonna be like the end of an era, hopefully the people MS hired to take over are just as good :3
Only if it did look that good! Well one day things will get there. Looking forward to this Halo Short. Maybe with the right people we could see a full length Feature film that would do the Halo Story Justice and make a Fun Block buster and the Box Office
looks great
Things like this will make people sorry they bought the game.

LOL. All looked CGI to me. Very good CGI, but not what I would call "live action".
OK, maybe it is live action after watching some more...
That was unbelievable graphics.....with stuff like that going around who cares how crysis looks.....
That looked even better than the SC2 trailer/movie that was out last month....much better in my opinion
It looked like a football game on a battlefield. Nice vid.
I wonder when the Xbox720 rolls around if it will have the power to pull that off.
Reminds me of my first Mech warrior install.. fired it up watched the CGI movie.. "SWEET!!" .. then the game started.. "this sucks ass!"
There is a tiny bunny stuffed animal in the scene, can you spot it?
nice video....
errrmmm, where is the tiny stuffed animal? Couldn't find it, I have watched it may times but no animal.... oh man I love animals.
Did it bother anyone else that Master Chief didn't help the wounded guy at all? I mean ya you have to save the world and all but, he was still alive... Could have at least asked him if he was going to be ok haha.
Marketing at its best!
I think that was a wounded girl. Hard to tell
Seems like TomsHardware is bouncing between OLD style and the new BLUE style.
It´s funny, Reach happens in the past but has more futuristic stuff than the newer Halos, like jetpacks...
Here goes coherency down the window...
Looks pretty good, but then again....it's Halo =P. Bring me any average FPS on comp and it smokes the Halo series. Those people on dem der Xbox's and PS3's don't know what they miss. *Cries in corner for all the sorry wretches*
someday soon in game graphics will be this good. If it weren't for developers building games to the lowest common denominator consoles), we would almost be there already.
Halo is starting to get a little redundant, although I haven't tried the new Reach beta yet. Still, I have to hand it to Microsoft for the marketing, they do a damn good job.
I rather like the Halo series, as it attracts the 8-15 year old boys and diverts them from other gaming communities.
That way, I have less derp a herp lone wolf types in games like MAG and TF2 and more team work orientated players.
Very impressive video. Would like to see the extended version when its released (ps: hate the halo game, but this vid is pretty cool).
Here goes coherency down the window...
+1 for the mixed metaphor. People in glass houses sink ships.
Why are trailers for games always make me more excited then the actual game.
the great thing about technology is, its only a matter of time until games look like this
Reach is gonna be kinda sad since bungie is jumping ship after it D: its gonna be like the end of an era, hopefully the people MS hired to take over are just as good :3
A smart writer or creator of any Genre should know when its time to end it. After a while its nothing more than a bunch of rehashing prequels and sequels, reboots, and adaptations. Give something new a chance, develop some new interesting IP.
Did it bother anyone else that Master Chief didn't help the wounded guy at all? I mean ya you have to save the world and all but, he was still alive... Could have at least asked him if he was going to be ok haha.
Considering the countdown on the "device" and subsequent explosion, there was no time. He might not have had time to get out, with such short time on the clock, these soldiers probably know that by running this kind of football, they won't be attending any after game party.
It looked like a football game on a battlefield.
NFL should have airstrikes on the football fields, that'll spice up the game!
"He's at the 30! The 20! The 10! Oooohhh! And he gets hit with an airstrike and Terrel Owens is down!"
If it were designed for a high end pc and not the xbox 360 then it would be a lot closer to the movie than it is.
lol well to hope the 720 will manage that grapic is which full thinking but pc is getting quite close. get some great dx11 and a crysis 2 engine and your on a good way there. pluss if the new xbox only manage 720p like its name might sugest it will newer look as crisp as that video.
It was an alright teaser, but the teaser to Gear of War 3 was a lot better. Part of the reason being that the individual character in Gears 3 have much more personality, whereas the few characters you have in Halo are all pretty bland.
