Launch Trailer for the Goldeneye 007 Wii Remake
Bond is back, and still only for the Nintendo system.
Activision's major first person shooter for the high-def consoles happens next week with Call of Duty: Black Ops. But there's another big name shooter coming that's hitting the Wii – Goldeneye 007.
It's more than just a remake, it's a new reimagining that also swaps out Pierce Brosnan for Daniel Craig.
Goldeneye for Wii hits North American stores today and those in Europe later this week. Check out the launch trailer below.

awesmazing
I haven't purchased a wii game for myself in quite a while. It's been taken over by my 4yr old with Mario and Lego games. This may very well be the next game I get since I can't afford that new gaming machine.
Looks cool, BUT Pierce Brosnan was Bond in Goldeneye, not Daniel Craig. They should be using his face, not Craig.
Oh great, now I have to go buy a WII.

I agree. I am not sure what type of screwed up logic prompted the switch.
Man, this game is fugly. They should have designed it for another system.
Wii graphics are shameful. When I saw "Goldeneye" I was like, sweet, they ported the N64 version over! Oh never mind. I agree with kresso on this one. Pierce's face should be in this game if they are to use the Goldeneye name. Doh!

I will tell what. maybe it the fact that when Activision contact Pierce to reprise his role in the game he said no.
I recall that they made the decision to use Craig's face to keep it consistent with the current franchise.

Considering that the Wii has 10 year-old architecture, I'm gonna say this game looks damn good. Give it a break.
I just picked up my copy. Won't get to play until this evening. The graphics won't be on par with the PS3 or 360, but I'm hoping the fun factor will make up for it.
I'm still pissed off that they replaced Pierce Brosnan with the rubbish guy but still, the game looks fun. I look forward to playing it in HD with a Wii emulator.
Could this be the Halo for Wii?
Removing Pierce Brosnan from this game is sacrilegious, an insult to the original game. I for one will not be buying this.
I wonder if there were royalty and licensing issues involved with using Brosnan? Maybe they just didn't want to have to pay Peirce.

I know, I would prefer Brosnan as well.
this is the game that really got me and my friends into fps, every weekend in our youth we had a blast! then came the drinking. and less gaming lol
I wonder how this compares to goldeneye source.
EON (who owes the Bond brand) has licensee Mr Craig s to represent the Bond brand (including any likeness of his image), for them to use Pierce's mug someone somewhere would have to pay Pierce for that privilege, it's simple why pay extra when you can use something which comes free
Too bad we can't have this game in HD. The Wii looks like sh*t on my 46 inch LED.
WOW... looks almost as good as Half Life 2...
hahaha... nah I'm just kidding... HL2 looked a LOT better.

It's on the Wii for nostalgic reasons.
Could this be the Halo for Wii?
Super Mario Galaxy is the Halo for Wii.
Liked the original. Hope they didnt destroy one of the best FPS's of all time. Wish the original came out for PC. I would still play it and have daily MP battles. Temple w/grenade launchers anybody?
Who cares about graphics. This game looks awesome. Goldeneye is still one of my favorite games of all time and it looks like Nintendo has done it justice. Very happy. Will be buying this game.
If I had a Wii, I would be getting it day one.
But not owning a Wii, I have to say I'm not too arsed. It won't be better than the original, and it's going to be less accurate than an analog stick (like the N64 had).
And I spent years on Goldeneye when it came out.
I wanted this game quite a bit.. and then I read they didn't bother putting in bots in offline multiplayer.. pass.
Well, might pick it up.. eventually.
I wet my pants.
Gonna get a wii just for this remake. F-U all graphic wh*r*s.
Cheers! O_O!
Graphics arent everything. Theres this thinkg...whats it called...oh yeah, gameplay!. As long as its fun, who cares if it isnt as shiny as a PS3/360 game!
speaking of gameplay... anyone else notice the players in the demo couldnt aim? the wii remote is awful for fps. shame this is a wii only game
Graphics aren't everything, but they sure do matter. I would much rather play a Goldeneye game on a decent system for FPS, but that's not gonna happen now is it? Unless you play a Goldeneye mod on PC. Why can't I have my cake and eat it too? I want shiny things that are fun to play.

Sorry for the double post, but just wanted to mention this game can be played with the Nintendo dual stick classic game pad, as well as the freshly released classic gamecube style gamepad. So you aren't required to aim like a drunk.
oh god, another shooter for the wii
