What's Inside Fallout: New Vegas Collector's Ed.
For the Fallout fan.
Fallout is coming back with New Vegas, and today Bethesda has announced a collector's edition for the game across the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms.
In addition to including the highly anticipated game, this premium version of Fallout: New Vegas also includes the game-inspired items below:
♠ "Lucky 7" poker chips. Each of the seven poker chips was designed to represent chips from the major casinos found on the New Vegas strip and throughout the Mojave Wasteland.
♠ A fully customized Fallout: New Vegas deck of cards. Each card in the pack has been uniquely illustrated to depict characters and factions found within the game. Use the cards to play poker, blackjack or Caravan, an original card game that was created by Obsidian especially for New Vegas!
♠ A recreation of the game's highly coveted "Lucky 38" platinum chip.
♠ A hardcover graphic novel "All Roads", that tells the story of some of the characters and events that lead up to Fallout: New Vegas. "All Roads" waswritten by Chris Avellone, the game's creative director, and created in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics.
♠ 'The Making of Fallout: New Vegas' DVD. This documentary DVD will contain exclusive video content, including interviews with the developers in which they take you from concept to creation and discuss topics such as story, setting, legacy of the Fallout franchise and more.
"We're offering this very cool collector's edition to give fans the opportunity to own some of the items that they'll discover while playing Fallout: New Vegas," said Pete Hines, vice president of PR and marketing. "We are also expanding their experience with the game by including a top-notch graphic novel worthy of the Fallout name and a DVD that gives them a behind-the-scenes look at how the game was created."
Even though pre-orders are now available, Bethesda didn't list a price in its press materials. GameStop currently lists the console versions at $79.99 and the PC version at $69.99.

This seems like a very well thought out collector's edition... Well worth the price IMO.
A must buy DRM free game! I bought & played the original Fallout 3 and it was an awesome experience.
HELLS YES!! Sorry Fallout 3 but you have been replaced!
You know how to make a man happy.
Ok, I have long been sick and tired of these ridiculously priced collectors editions that are chock full of garbage but I have to admit, this has a lot of "non-worthless" extras and its not $150. I'm impressed.

DRM free? Where did that come from?
Ive read a little bit about fallout3. Never played them so would be great to make a box set. Would love to buy all the fallout 3 games but priced separate is too costly. Think Fallout 3, Fallout 3's 2 expansions, and Fallout 3 New Vegas for under $100 would be great deal.
Err... if you look hard enough, you can get Fallout 3 and its FIVE expansions for $30-$40 NOW (it's called the Game of the Year Edition), leaving plenty for New Vegas and still not crash your $100 limit.
I hope the DRM is kept down. If it uses Game for Windows Live, not Game for Windows but the live one that makes you connect to MS to play the game I will not buy it.
I hope not, loved Fallout 3 and looking forward to this. The first Fallout 3 had a easy hack to play and save the expansion off-line (FU GFWL) by copying the hidden game files to the Fallout 3 game folder. Will wait and see about this release.
Bethesda in my opinion, is one of the, if not the best game maker right now. Oblivion, Fallout 3 and soon Fallout: New Vegas. I can not wait to get this game.
Off subject but i can't wait for the next Oblivion either....I think I'll try that cartman thing and freeze myself until it is released.
I just hope New Vegas is closer to the original feel of the first two games.

Indeed!
I LOVE Fallout 3. I must have finished it 3 times or so.

Agreed. BioWare is pretty much the only other company I give props to, since Mass Effect 2 is awesome.

You said it! Fallout 3 was one of the best games I've ever played. I'm really looking forward to this!
Just pre-ordered!

"War..
War never changes..
Since the dawn of human kind, when our ancestors first discovered the killing path with rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything, from God, to justice, to simple psychotic rage.
In the year 2077, after millenia of armed conflict, the destructive nature of man could substain itself no longer. The world was plunged into an abyss of nuclear fire, and radiation.
But it was not, as some had predicted, the end of the world. Instead, the apocalypse was just the prologue to another bloody chapter of human history. For man had succeded destroying the world..
But war..
War never changes.."
Best. Game. Opening. Quote. Ever!
All the good collector's editions I've bought have been around $60-$70 new. This is definitely worth buying, unlike all those recent CEs that cost the same or more with only some DLC and a worthless item or two to offer.
its better than a stupid helmet or toys r us night vision goggles. i liked the fo3 collectors edition, im lookin at the bobblehead on my desk right now.

Will buy. The great war starts on my birthday 2077. Oct. 23.
I'm so excited for New Vegas! Playing Fallout 3 was like playing through a movie--I have never had so much fun playing an RPG!
I'm probably going to get a bunch of thumbs down for this comment, that's to be expected since any opposing opinion seems to get completely trashed on this site. But, whatever, I still feel the need to say this.
I still have yet to see why Fallout 3 got all of the hype and attention it did. I gave it a shot, I beat it twice, in fact, but the entire thing was nowhere near as good as depicted by its fans. If anything, it was just as generic and bland as Oblivion. The story wasn't too interesting, and the battle system needed a lot of work, same thing with Oblivion. In fact, the only thing I really enjoyed about the game was the feel of the world that Bethesda made for Fallout, and the awesome old jazz music.I felt that so much more could have been done with this game. I haven't seen Bethesda release anything more than just generic games lately, and this statement goes for a lot of other companies out there too. I had 10 times more fun playing the first two Fallouts over and over again than playing through a single session of the third. To me, all of this hype is absurd.
This is just my opinion, so don't go ape shit over it.
As a huge fan of the Fallout series I cannot wait for this. I loved 1,2 and had a bit of trepidation when it came to Fallout 3. This was because the mechanics were changed nearly 180^ from the first 2 games. After buying the game and palying it I of course was enthralled and amazed by the excellent work done by Bathesda.

I like the contents of this edition as well and will try to aquire it.
On another note my 3 year old (at the time) would sit next to me and watch me play with gore settings on off. For the longest time he would not eat meat at dinner time. I was finally able to start him eating meats by telling him it was Rad Roach meat which he then devoured with gusto. To this day he will call a hunk of steak "rad roach" meat.
I found the storyline and plot excellent and loved the VAT combat system as well. It was definately a breath of fresh air and a departure from the plethora of generic shooter trash that so many others seemed to rave about.
Not as cool as the Watch thingy Fallout 3 gives you, but not bad, in my case I just wait for GOTY editions to come out. Love ya Bethsda.
Although I agree, and have played fallout 3 and Oblivion for hours, Bethesda isn't making this one. Obsidian, the guys who made the second (and first I believe as well) Fallout games are making it. It will be a similar engine and gameplay but not by Bethesda. I believe Bethesda is currently working on "Fallout 4."
IT COMES WITH A BOOK! IM SOLD!
i love bethesda, oblivion and all, but i have i wish, improve the animation. like walking and stuff.

is there still a collectors edition of fallout3 somewhere? i want my bobblehead
