12. DirectX8: Splintercell

Splinter Cell uses very complex lighting and shadow effects, as well as pixel shader effects (v1.1). Half of the frame rate is determined by normal 3D calculations, the other half by calculations of the shadow effects.

Just as the two mobile PCs from Dell and Yakumo, the M6800N from Asus is no performance wonder in this benchmark with the quality settings set to the maximum. The only notebook that was able to reach the performance of a desktop PC with one of the newer graphics cards was the one equipped with ATI's "mobile" weapon called MR9700.

The moment you lower your expectations in terms of presentation, the M6800N guarantees a smoothly running game with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels.
