Using the "Portable/ Laptop" power scheme, the Enhanced SpeedStep technology allows the CPUs to run at maximum clock speed under a full load. The "Max Battery" and "Presentation" schemes, on the other hand, brake the processors to their minimum clock speed (600 MHz) in battery mode, even when running at full capacity. The individual readings for the Pentium M in the Asus M2N were extremely stable with the last two power schemes and approximated the measurements for the CPU in the Lifebook S6120. When the CPU was clocked faster, though, we observed large fluctuations in individual readings.
