13. MP3 Encoding: Lame
This test involves encoding a 178 MB WAV file into MP3 format using the Lame MP3 encoder in the DOS box while the clock is ticking.


The readings provide yet further proof of the effect of the CPU throttling under a high CPU workload and the "Portable Laptop" power scheme, echoing the results of the two previous benchmarks.
