The 3150P masterfully boxes its way through the Mobile Mark 2002. While it's no surprise that the two systems with AMD processors scored relatively poorly in this benchmark, appearances are deceiving. If you work mostly with office applications or surfing the Internet, an AMD system in this performance category will be more than powerful enough for you.

Averatec 3150P: Sub-Notebook With Extensive Features At A Cut-Rate Price

Averatec's 3150P is a sub-notebook with an extremely fair price tag (US$1025 plus tax), an extensive array of features (e.g., integrated WLAN module, CD/ DVD drive), solid performance scores and excellent battery run-down time.

If you're expecting a virtually scratch-proof case, an IR port, or the like for this kind of price, you won't find it - you'll have to spend a few hundred dollars more and buy a competitor's product.
