Verizon Gives HTC Incredible Customers $25

- By - Source : Tom's Guide US

Free stuff is definitely half the battle when you're playing the "Keep Customers Happy" game.

There's currently a major AMOLED shortage and it's resulted in a delay for those who ordered the HTC Incredible from Verizon. Verizon has sent out an apology letter to customers who ordered on or before June 28, informing them there may be an additional delay of seven days. As a thank you for being so patient, Verizon is also sending these customers a $25 gift card.

The HTC Incredible launched April 29 on Verizon Wireless.

Full letter (via Android Central) below:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for your recent order of the DROID Incredible by HTC. Due to
overwhelming demand for this innovative device, we are currently experiencing
inventory delays. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are
working to resolve this issue.

If your order shipping date was June 28 or prior, you may experience an
additional delay of up to 7 business days. We will send an update with
tracking information once your device has been shipped. If you have already
received your device, please disregard this notice.

Your satisfaction is important to us, so we’re also sending you a $25
Verizon Wireless gift card which may be redeemed online or at any Verizon
Wireless retail store as a way of saying “thank you” for your patience in
this matter. No additional action on your part is required – we will send
the gift card to the address you provided with your order in the next two
weeks.

If you have further questions regarding your order, please contact Verizon
Wireless customer service by dialing *611 from your mobile or calling
800-922-0204.

You mean Verizon is giving people something for their gaff instead of trying to take more from them? Here is a company that deserves the loyalty that fans shower, for whatever reason, on Apple.

And AT&T et al hasn't? The CIA/NSA could/is already doing this for other carriers.

There isn't a single service provider in the world that the NSA/CIA doesn't own/control lock, stock and barrel.

But, read the fine print on a verizon gift card - what a joke. It's no wonder they give them out so freely.

LoL, customer service. They're just trying to save their ass from losing customers to Sprint or AT&T. I wonder if a $25 gift card will appease the masses when they need a rpl and the AMOLED isn't available.

this is why I cry when I see people blindly walk into AT&T and Apple stores not realizing that there are alternatives...

on the other hand.. iphone users DO atleast have their phone, even if it doesn't work.

There's just no pleasing some folks some times. Verizon did a nice thing that others in the industry won't. Of course the motive is to hang on to customers but jeez cut them some slack here.

Pretty cool they are doing this. I know a few co-workers were waiting for theirs. An extra 25$ is always nice.
