This could very well go down as one of the worst console ports,err, I mean pc game flops of 2009.

That was one awesome trailer. Despite how the game is, that was one of the better game trailers I have seen.

It was pretty crappy rap. Added on tho the fact that I just dont enjoy rap.

I WAS excited, until I realized that they're taking pretty much EVERYTHING out of this game that IS the online FPS community. If we wanted to play this console style, we'd play it on the damn console. F* off IW.

I'm still gonna get it but it's probably gonna wind up like CoD:WaW. I installed it, played it, never touched multi-player. Damn, I remember when IW was a PC game innovator. Now consoles have ruined them. Basically they are now charging MORE for a game that has less. I only truly wanted it for Single Player anyway and figured I might dabble in multiplayer but without dedicated servers and only 18 players, screw that. I'll blast through the single player campaign and go right back to Team Fortress 2. At least Valve knows how to treat online FPS's. Team Fortress 2 has been the only game I've been playing online as of late anyway. Well that and Shattered Horizon when I was beta testing it.

What, is that a joke? Call of Duty is a small pile of dirt compared to the towering mountain that is Halo 3. It won't reach half of Halo 3's launch sales, just watch.

D3 is easily the most anticipated game of the decade for me, maybe it has something to do with 10 years of waiting

I don't care about multi player at all. Never used it never will..

Notice how the second shot has, for example, better textures?

Yeah, sure, that's only one shot, but if you look at the trailer, you'll see that the graphics are actually pretty bad in several occasions. Explosions, low res textures, clipping etc..

Modern Warfare 2 has become a joke. Is anyone even considering buying it still? Everyone I know has cancelled their preorder.

Looks good to me, I was never really a fan of the COD series, but when COD 4 came out. I was always a Halo fan, but that game totally blew me away compared. Hoping to be blown away by the game, multiplayer isn't really something I'm overly interested about so meh.

I Think the main problem with MW2 has come from the merger between Blizzard and Activision. Blizzard are well known for tying their games up as much as possible in order to milk their customers to the maximum, the influences can be seen right through this game.

The so called IW.net for gaming, the removal of Console and the failure to provide an SDK, the removal of dedicated servers. The release is just a stepping stone to the true aims that Blizzard have, to charge a monthly subscription to play the games online. MW3 will be subscription based I am sure of it, they are taking the WoW model and trying to apply it to all major gaming franchises they have now.

How far will it go? I wouldn't surprise me to see them charging $10 a month to play online, then the additional costs, want a silencer for that MP5 that will be $15 please, you already see it now in WoW all the extra charges for additional content, as if charging so much for a monthly subscription wasn't bad enough

It wont happen with this game, this is just the test run, but it is the future Blizzaed see for gaming as a whole.

I know me and all my clan mates are refusing to buy this game, the back lash has been huge, whether or not everyone sticks to it and continues to not buy is another matter though. I do hope so, but we will see

No dedicated servers for PC.
No mod tools for PC.
P2P type online gaming for PC.
Only 9v9 player MAX for PC.
No lean function for PC.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Their response is always the same.. when asked why they did this? They say "It balances the game", but they never elaborate on how it balances the game . In my mind, that is the same as saying "no comment". How does no lean function "balance the game" ? If everyone has it, then that is balanced.

They just can't admit that they ported it directly from the consoles and were to lazy to add in all the things that PC players expect.. especially from a $60 title.

Then they have transcripts of the CEO of Activision basically saying he wants to milk as much money out of the gaming community as possible. So for those who think there is going to be free DLC.. forget about it, your going to be charged.

For these reasons, and many more, they will not get my money.. I will spend it on other games.
