Glocke MP3 Cradle Inspired by Buddhist Bell

Inspired by the resonance based, sound amplifying abilities of the traditional Korean Buddhist Bell, the Glocke MP3 Cradle is a low powered speaker that produces clear and amplified sounds. The device works through the principals of resonance, utilizing the bell-like shape and puddle-like vibration tank to produce loud and clear sounds.
Users simply have to dock the MP3 player device on top of the Glocke and their tunes will echo throughout the room. Accented LED lights also light up with varying brightness according to volume, producing a pleasing aesthetic effect. Designed by Seoul National University of Science and Technology's, Sangyong Park, the Glocke MP3 Cradle won the Bronze medal for the 2011 Sparks Awards.
