8. Conclusion

Eos, the Greek goddess of dawn, isn’t quite the dawn of a new era in home audio. If you can tolerate the microwave drop-outs, want the least expensive and lowest hassle setup, and don’t mind the lack of bass response or the inability to play lossless file formats, then Eos might be appealing. If you want the ultimate in audio quality, have frequent needs for your microwave oven, or live in a mansion just slightly smaller than Chez Gates, then Eos isn’t the product for you.

If you have access to your basement or attic and are handy with tools, then “drill, baby, drill” might be the best philosophy to help you get good quality audio all around your house. If drilling is out of the question, you want different music streams playing in various rooms, and you are particular about your audio quality, then Sonos has the best solution.

You seem to have missed the easiest & most cost-effective solution - Apple Airport. Stream to up to 5 airports at once from iTunes, good audio & much cheaper than your listed solutions.
