- By - Source : Tom's Guide US

Lost Planet 2 is heading for the PC this fall.

On Friday Capcom announced its plans to distribute a newLost Planet 2 multiplayer demo on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. However the company also slipped in a rather small confirmation that a PC version also heading to retail shelves. Up until now, there wasn't anything concrete indicating that the game was coming to our hard drives.

While the console games have actually moved up on the calendar, seeing a May 11 release, PC gamers won't get their fill until sometime "this fall."

Console gamers ready to jump into Capcom's sequel will get a sneak preview of the new demo beginning March 31 via community distributed voucher codes. Capcom said that the demo features the "Turbulent Jungle" map yanked straight out of the online versus mode. The demo will also support full chat capabilities and stat tracking.

Fans who don't land sneak preview vouchers won't get any Lost Planet 2 action until the demo hits the networks on April 21 (XBL) and April 22 (PSN). PC gamers wanting to check out Lost Planet 2 before the summer exits the stage may need to find a few console friends.
