I don’t think you can hope for a bigger discount on this top-tier stand mixer this Black Friday
KitchenAid has a stream of great deals this Black Friday, including some great prices on the best stand mixers. In fact, I love KitchenAid’s stand mixers so much I ended up explaining the difference between the brand’s tilt-head and bowl-lift stand mixers to a couple at my local department store just last weekend.
But we have to be savvy during Black Friday sales and decide whether the discounted price is a genuine bargain — and whether it’s worth holding out a bit longer for the cost to drop even more.
KitchenAid’s Artisan Series 5-Quart Tilt Head Stand Mixer is currently $349 at Amazon. That is a huge 30% discount, and I don't see this price dropping any lower on Black Friday itself — after all, it is a premium appliance.
This KitchenAid stand mixer has a tilt-head design and 10 speed settings, to knead, whisk and beat your ingredients. It also comes with a dough hook, beater and whisk, and a pouring shield to stop mixture escaping the 5-quart bowl.
In the current economic climate, I very much doubt you’ll get this KitchenAid stand mixer for less than this deal price.
This is an excellent purchase for the average home baker — which happens to include me. What’s more, although you can often find price drops on this KitchenAid stand mixer, they rarely cover the whole color range and are usually limited to a few picks. However, right now, every color (and that includes over 20 options!) is reduced to $349.
But there is a problem. Which color will you pick? My favorites include Cardamon and Dried Rose, but I love the contemporary look of Silver Contour.
The average price of this model on Amazon is $444 — that’s $55 less than the list price. And over the last 12 months, the lowest price it’s been is $329 back in December 2024. So, in the current economic climate, I very much doubt you’ll get this KitchenAid stand mixer for less than this deal price.
Quality lasts — and pays for itself over time
This KitchenAid stand mixer is the best overall product in our buying guide, and although, when discounted, it is still more expensive than our best budget buy — Cuisinart’s Precision Master Stand Mixer, now $258 at Amazon (for the white version) — it’s still worth paying out more for the robust design and the wider color choice that KitchenAid delivers.
When I reviewed this product myself last year, I awarded it four-and-a-half stars and claimed that, "apart from looking beautiful in your kitchen, you’re guaranteed an appliance that gives consistent results and one that’s built to last.
"Although it might seem like a hefty investment, especially if you only bake the occasional cake, you won’t be replacing it after a year or two, and it can withstand almost anything you throw at it."
I stand by that statement a year later so, if you’re ruminating over whether to hold out a bit longer to make a buying decision, I think you’d be safe to put this deal in your shopping cart right now.
