The following charts show the PCMark05 test results for the five Windows MCE notebooks included in the roundup. Our discussion of these results follows the charts.

PCMark05 Results
In these results, the hardware configuration comes more clearly into play than in our last round of tests, where battery life also factored into overall results. Here, the only surprise is that the Toshiba, with its T2400 processor, is outclassed by the Fujitsu with its T2300 CPU.
The Sony turns in remarkable graphics performance, as does the Acer, where the two Pentium M notebooks outshine their Mobile Centrino Duo brethren - despite more powerful CPUs and graphics processors on the latter machines. In most other categories, the HP continues to shine, and its T2600 clearly explains its leading position in all the other PCMark05 benchmarks (CPU, Memory and Hard Disk, which all combine to land it in first place for the System benchmark as well). Despite a lackluster third place finish in these results overall, we continue to be impressed with the Toshiba Qosmio, primarily because of its image quality, media-friendly design, and overall ease of use.
