9. The Z60m is a Fortress Notebook, Continued

The hard disk is also protected against mechanical damage, and thus against irreparable data loss, through an additional feature that's found in an increasing number of business class notebooks. A 3D motion sensor in the hard disk measures performance values constantly. If the write head approaches a crash condition, it's moved into the parked position at lightning speed. Lenovo calls this capability its "Active Protection System."

The Active Protection System protects against a head crash.

The backup & restore software on the Z60m is simple to use, even for newbies.

Data protection and security functions are clearly structured and easy to manage.

Even tasks such as the installation and update of drivers and new tools are child's play on the Z60m. For these functions, Lenovo developed a program called "Software Installer." The push of a single button is all it takes to put this program to work, downloading the latest and greatest files from Lenovo's support servers.

The Software Installer identifies all hardware components and installs all related drivers automatically.

The Software Installer searches the entire notebook for software that has already been loaded and various driver versions, to keep downloads as small as possible, and to save time.
