The F8E464 Backup Battery Pack from Belkin allows iPod users to keep the music playing longer.

One of the most interesting accessories that we received for use with the iPod was the Backup Battery Pack from Belkin. Belkin now offers a variety of accessories for the iPod. While clearly most of the products that are currently being released are focused on the newest third-generation iPod, Belkin does offer a few items for the older generation of iPods.

The Backup Battery Pack relies on four standard, user replaceable AA alkaline batteries to keep the music playing when you are away from an electrical recharging outlet, such as on long air flights or on remote camping/hiking trips. This concept is fairly basic, and is one of those utilitarian products that make you think, "Now why didn't I think of that idea?" The Backup Battery Pack design for the iPod is versatile, and with the new dock/accessory interface at the bottom of the iPod it makes accessories like this very possible to integrate.
