Also located on the left side is the DVD +/- RW optical drive. Again this is a smart design so loading and unloading disks does not interfere with your mouse hand. If you are a southpaw, you have my condolences. However, there is a bright side for you... the back of the system.

The back is loaded with connectors, including four additional USB ports. There are DVI and VGA connectors as well as one for S-Video. RJ-45 and RJ-11 connectors are located between the S-Video and USB ports for your network and modem needs.

The AC power adapter plug is on the back side as well. I like the big plugs in the back. This makes it easier to place it on the desk and have the cables flow over the back. This is helpful with presentations where you are hooked up to a projector. It is also nice to have the network and power off the back as they are not taking up table space where your mouse, papers or coffee mug will be.
