Renasis Wifi Booster Antenna

Renasis Wifi Booster Antenna
Summary 2.4 GHz signal booster in a compact antenna-like format. Can be used for 802.11b, g and Bluetooth
Update None
Pros • Provides both Transmit and Receive signal boost
• Can be used with any 2.4 GHz wireless product
• No software required
• Compact size
Cons • Somewhat pricey
• Fixed 90 degree position could affect performance in wall and ceiling

The Renasis BA24j 2.4 GHz Booster Antenna could be the heir apparent to Linksys' popular, but no-longer-available, WSB24 Wireless Signal Booster [reviewed here] for those folks looking to pump up the signal of their wireless AP or router. I found that the device did indeed amplify an 802.11g signal. But I also found once again that signal boosting doesn't necessarily translate into significantly improved wireless performance
