The impact-resistant lenses block 100% of UVA, UVB and UVC rays. Playback controls are located along the top of sunglass stems, and the built-in lithium ion battery is charged via the USB cable.
As you would expect, the MP3 player adds some bulk and weight to the sunglasses, but the unit still weighs less than two ounces. Unlike other Oakley sunglasses, there is no nose pad, which is too bad - since the Thumps are heavier than normal glasses, a rubberized nose pad would have helped them stay on your head better. The Thumps are made out of plastic, which you may notice creaks a little bit when you put them on.

The lenses can easily be flipped up and down.
Transferring Music

As noted earlier, you don't need to install any drivers to use the Oakley Thumps. Simply plug the glasses into your USB slot using the included cable, and Windows will see the unit as a removable drive. Then, all you need do is drag your files to the device.
The Thump also acts like any other USB keychain, so you can store any type of file into the sunglasses, not just music. In fact, my review unit is holding an archived copy of my Evolution email. The USB2 interface makes transfers quick and painless.
The glasses will play music in MP3, WMA and WAV formats.
