The Controller for Guitar Hero Minimalists

What lets you play virtual music and fits into a small pouch?

Looks like someone figured you don't need an entire guitar to play games like Guitar Hero. All you need are five buttons, a springy switch, and of course, the trebelo arm. The NEXiLUX Guitar Controller compresses all virtual guitar controls into a stalk that comes apart for travel.

The five buttons are on the end of a telescoping arm that also features five touch-sensitive pads as replacements. The main unit or "body" also features a d-pad and start-select buttons on top of the switch and tremolo controls.

The NEXiLUX works with second- and third-generation Playstations out of the box, but docks with a Wiimote for use on a Wii. And just like any "normal" guitar, loops on either end accommodate the included shoulder strap.

This portable guitar currently retails for $50. It seems demand has outpaced supply however, with Amazon listing this item as currently unavailable.
