Modern Warfare 2 Ad Shows Mapathy Sufferers
Those getting bored of the current batch of maps available in Modern Warfare 2 (or want to find a new home for that pesky $15 worth of Microsoft Points that have been hanging around unused) will get a fresh trio of new maps to play inside when the first DLC hits for Xbox 360 on March 30.
Three new maps:
· "Bailout," a multi-level apartment complex
· "Storm," an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery
· "Salvage," a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars
"Slightly reworked" original Modern Warfare maps:
· "Crash," a war-torn urban environment
· "Overgrown," which features a massive dry creek bed
To help promote the release of the Modern Warfare 2 "Stimulus" Pack, the marketing teams for Infinity Ward have created an interesting ad highlighting the possible positive effects of the upcoming DLC.
Don't forget that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will also be getting a new map pack on March 30 as well, but for $15 less than what Modern Warfare 2 players will be charged.

Vehicles, gravity affecting bullets, team-game play, free map DLC...and that's why I'm on Bad Company 2
BC2- 1, MW- 0
old news
"...and blow up unsuspecting m***** f****rs" haha
Pretty cool ad, but it still doesn't justify the $15 price tag.
I must agree, $15 is quite ridiculous...yet people will still buy it... -_______-. Honestly I don't think MW is that good, just way over hyped.
i will buy it and play it, because 90% of the one hundred friends at my school play it. And quite frankly, its fun to play
no over hype if you ask me. however, i do want to try the new battlefield..even though the first bad company was an epic failure
meh, I never got bored of the original cs maps...
Modern Warfare 2 "Stimulus" Pack only helps MS & Infinity Ward & their slumping sales. Is it an actual download or just more hidden content on the disc that you already own?
25% of the actual price of the game for 3 new maps and 2 from CoD 4.....do I really have to say it?
why does crapbox get the maps first, its not as if its gonna make people switch from PS3 to crapbox360, good way to piss off half your customers IW/Activision
What's the ETA on these being released to PC? I'm ready for new maps.
Also, is this just saying these will only be charged for xbox players?
I feel like a majority of the console games have to pay for map packs but most of the things on steam get free updates. Any other insight into this would be helpful.
I just feel like it goes against good customer service...
sure I paid 60$ for the game, 299 for the console, and 50 for an extra chargeable controller...
but does that mean I will then purchase extra maps (not any new piece of hardware I will get) for 15$?
sadly, yes.
This is because I have no choice, what will I do, not play MW2?!?!?
I just think its sad that I have to make this choice to play with my friends, the game already costs 60$, and they mad HOW MUCH in the first FEW WEEKS of the game being released, on game sales alone?
If I hadn't bought the 360, and the game already, I would laugh like most of you, unfortunately, I did.
wtf
lol console noobs only have themselves to blame, k thanks noobs for paying for DLC content in the 1st place! k thanks!
Dynamic Maps. Holy shit that would be awesome.
Ridiculously overpriced. Anyone who buys this is a moron. Simple as that. $60 core game was enough to swallow already. Sacking the people who made the game the success it is doesn't help either. I don't even care about the PC version complaints, this is BS for anyone no matter what system they play or what they think of the core game.
I'm not too crazy about Bad Company 2 either. It has a lot of elements I like, but still isn't as good or deep as Battlefield 2. I'd rather just see Battlefield 2 with upgraded graphics, destructible environments, and a deeper ranking/unlock system.
For me im a little disapointed with BF because there are nos servers in my country and the best ping iv gotten was 120
Come on Crapbox 360 fanboy kids, give them your money like good little trolls and don't forget to give MS their play online subscription cash too..
$15 is BS. I really don't know if I'm going to buy them. I play on PC, where all FPS games are meant to be played and I'm not going to drop $15 more into this game. I guess if everybody starts playing the new maps, I will just quit playing.
gee....people wouldn't be paying $15 for 3 new maps with 2 tweaked one if game supported user created contents and mods....
another EPIC FAIL for Infinity Ward!!!!
Stimulus with a thumb in your butt, IW. I play BFBC2 and i would of bought MW2 if you didn't F the consumer with retarded tactics.
lol @ all the angry MW2 PC gamers... stop whining.. MW2 is an amazing game, no doubt about that... no matter how much u flame it.. ur hatred ain't gonna be worth jack... the game will still be on top of BFBC2. Eventhough i think BFBC2 is indeed pretty close in comparison (yes i have both). Both have a different style of gameplay... MW2 is much faster... BFBC2 is more accuracy and teamwork... doesn't necessarily make it better... i personally find MW2 more fun, but BFBC2 more tolerable... no campers and all and such kind of crap.
Sooo, how does it feel to spend $75 on a game?
I love PC fps, but dam MW2 has poor support. Blatant hackers in what seems like 1-5 lobbies. Then the ones you can't quite tell if they are hacking. Steam doesn't do shit about it. For christ-sake you can hack the server and make everyone jump 20ft and get 1000xp per kill. One thing failbox beats pc at is controlling the hacks.
Not to mention the whole lobby process kinda sucks on steam everyone gets Dc'd so much or random problems trying to join parties. This may be across steam. I'm not positive.
Screw 15 more for the game if BFbc2 is better. I'm gonna get the 4for3 squad pack on steam pending some more feedback on the game.
Would play on her map any day, oh er.
How much money do you people make lol, $15? haha I wipe my a$$ with $15 everyday for breakfast lol
I've said it already many times but:
1) MW2 was $10 higher than any other FPS game I've ever heard of.\
2) $15 for three maps is ridiculous
3) Users are not able to create their own maps
And despite all of that, I would still love to buy and play the game, BUT, no dedicated servers FTL.
BF FTW! PC FTW! If I want to pay $15, id play WoW!
I bet people who don't have the new maps will get booted out when the map tries to load too, making it more difficult than it already is to find a steady, consistent set of games.
Commercial awesome. DLC for a fps game in the form of maps. REALLY! Piss off. I remember when people could make maps in most fps games, and a lot even better then the orginals. Now they want you to pay for them. Ya, um no.
