Microsoft Begins Shipping Office 2008 For Macs
San Francisco (CA) - Mac Office 2008 has begun shipping, giving owners of Apple computers a crack at the latest version of Microsoft’s productivity suite.
The announcement was made during Steve Jobs’s 2008 Macworld keynote. It is the first time that a new version of Office has been made available for the Mac platform less than a year after one launched for the PC.
The suite includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Entourage, a calendar/to-do list application.
