Hmmm... wonder why they'd do that? I'd be laughing it up if it should become even remotely popular for iphone users to use a microsoft theme on their toys.
Might be a trademark issue. It's also possible that there are distribution restrictions on Windows graphics that Microsoft licensed from third-party suppliers.

Yea I'm curious too. I'm no marketing or branding brain but this doesn't seem like it would hurt anything. I wonder if they had serious concerns or if they just did it because they could.
Maybe they were worried that his iPhone app would work and make them look bad ?
hehehe... or maybe Microsoft is finally getting payback over the trashcan icon fiasco from so long ago...
Sounds like Anno here needs to be part of the Mojave Experiment... Last I checked Vista worked and that is why gamer recommend rolling an overclocked quad core and Vista with 4-8GB RAM
They are probably worried that it will make the Iphone look better, and that's thier competition. Can't have that. Understandable, they aren't making any money from it, it's not helping them sell thier product, and could help Apple sell thiers. That's a no no.

They did the same to Kol, he ported the vista visual style for Xp and MS sent him a letter also, a bit stupid because these days there are tons of vista visual styles out there.
