Ready for another one... or four? (Guitar Hero 5, Guitar Hero: Val Halen, DJ Hero, Band Hero)
No surprises here as Activision continues on its Hero-milking quest. The publisher announced today Guitar Hero 5, which will most definitely be an evolution over Guitar Hero: World Tour.
One new addiction over the current game is that players will have "the ability to drop in and out of songs and change band members, instruments and difficulty levels on the fly." That should make the game a bit more party friendly than it is now. Look for Guitar Hero 5 something this fall.
A Guitar Hero game in the works right now doesn’t stop the franchise from corralling band-specific titles though. Activision today also confirmed that Guitar Hero: Van Halen is coming. The game will naturally come with Van Halen’s greatest hits as well as tracks from Queen, Weezer, blink-182, The Offspring, Queens of the Stone Age, and more, according to Joystiq.
That’s not all though. We’ll also be seeing DJ Hero and Band Hero coming soon too. Oh boy.
