3. Tablet PC: A New Approach To Office Computing, Continued

The next capture shows a handwritten note. I can leave the note as is, add more handwritten text onto the page or convert all or part of it into electronic text. In the last image I'm viewing a note with mixed handwritten and electronic text.

All of this doesn't prevent you from using Word or Excel or other Office applications on a Tablet PC. If you have them you can enter text into any of these applications using Tablet PC's stylus-based graphical input interface, which supports a standard graphical keyboard you tap on with your stylus and OCRed handwriting. You can't write text directly into the pages of these more traditional applications. Of course, with your Tablet PC's display twisted around and open you can use the device's physical keyboard for text entry. The keyboard is covered by the display when the computer is in tablet configuration.
